Klaus-Peter Schulz est directeur adjoint de la recherche et professeur de stratégie et d’innovation à l’ICN Business School. Ses recherches sont liées aux stratégies et méthodologies de capacités d’innovation durables et au développement organisationnel. Il s’intéresse particulièrement aux processus et méthodologies d’innovation et de développement dans différents types d’entreprises (notamment les PME) et d’organisations à but non lucratif. Ses recherches portent sur les méthodes et les processus de changement, d’innovation et de développement, en particulier sur les méthodes d’intervention ludiques et pratiques. Géographiquement, il s’intéresse principalement aux collaborations transfrontalières dans la Grande Région entre la France, le Luxembourg, la Belgique et l’Allemagne.
Avant d’être employé à l’ICN, il a travaillé comme chef de groupe de recherche à l’Université de technologie de Chemnitz, en Allemagne. Il y était responsable des programmes de recherche européens dans le domaine des capacités d’innovation des PME. Auparavant, il a travaillé dans la même institution en tant que maître de conférences dans le domaine de la gestion de l’innovation. Avant sa carrière universitaire, il était directeur de programme pour l’innovation et le développement organisationnel dans une entreprise pharmaceutique internationale. Klaus-Peter Schulz a reçu son habilitation (adéquate avec le HDR français) dans le domaine des capacités d’innovation, et son doctorat de l’Université de technologie de Chemnitz dans le domaine du comportement organisationnel (titre : Learning Activity in Organizations). Il a fait des études en ingénierie et en gestion à l’université Brunel (West London), où il a obtenu un M.Sc., et en ingénierie de la production à l’université des sciences appliquées de Konstanz, en Allemagne (diplôme d’ingénieur).
